PCMag of all places have taken a look at the vehicle and had this to say,

The 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQS 450+ (the EV equivalent to the company’s marque S-Class series) aims to win back buyers—at least those shopping for a high-tech sedan. Starting at $102,310, the EQA 450+ equals or tops Tesla in terms of EV range, amenities, comfort, and cutting-edge tech. But a few head-scratching features detract from its high-end feel and price.

Doug Newcomb, the reviewer states that it is a Tesla competitor, but only gives it a 3.5 out of 5 score. Head scratching time.
